What a fantastic world we live in today!

Technology has shrunk our world, with communication, information and vast amounts of knowledge at our fingertips. Yes we have it all. Computers have spawned an almost infinite supply of most anything our minds can think up. Whether we are looking for information on fixing an appliance to booking a trip, learning how to speak a different language, learning to get a ham license or whatever you might want to do, the computer can help you to get it done. "

ARLD031 Swain's Island, KH8, added to ARRL DXCC List

With the addition of Section II, Criteria Rule 1c) to the Political Entity criteria, certain former separation entities may now qualify as Political Entities.

One such entity has been determined to be American Samoa. American Samoa is now a Political Entity for DXCC purposes.
As a result of the reclassification of American Samoa, and upon the filing of a request and substantiating evidence, and with the concurrence of the DXAC and the Awards Committee, Swain's Island has been added to the DXCC List. "

AMELIA ISLAND, FL -- Handshakes and hard work are connecting a pair of communities -- one on the First Coast, and one on the Gulf Coast. Groups in Nassau County are building on a partnership that could help save your family if a hurricane hits here.

It all started in the days right after Hurricane Katrina -- a partnership between Nassau County, Florida and Hancock County, Mississippi. The union was built by the two county governments. But it's really the work of groups like the one at Amelia Baptist Church that has cemented that partnership together."
