AMELIA ISLAND, FL -- Handshakes and hard work are connecting a pair of communities -- one on the First Coast, and one on the Gulf Coast. Groups in Nassau County are building on a partnership that could help save your family if a hurricane hits here.

It all started in the days right after Hurricane Katrina -- a partnership between Nassau County, Florida and Hancock County, Mississippi. The union was built by the two county governments. But it's really the work of groups like the one at Amelia Baptist Church that has cemented that partnership together."
