James Lee Witt Associates received $40,000 in lobbying fees this year for representing Atlanta-based AmeriCold Logistics, one of the nation's largest cold-storage companies, federal records show.
As part of the lobbying effort, Witt's firm arranged a meeting between FEMA officials and AmeriCold last spring, before the start of the hurricane season, Witt spokesman Barry Scanlon said. Nicol Andrews, a FEMA spokeswoman, said she could neither confirm nor deny that account."

Code may be taking a back seat for now,
but the pioneering spirit that put the code
