Prepare your family
The plan begins at home, said Steve Kreuser, director of Wood County Emergency Management.

'They may have to maintain themselves a little bit and supply for a couple of days without power,' he said. 'Typically help will be there as quickly and efficiently as can be, so they should try to stay calm. Fortunately, we're not looking at a hurricane. We're not talking days and days by the time emergency services arrive on scene.'
