URGENT! Rita Amateur Operations Continue (Sep 24, 2005) -- All amateurs are requested to keep HF emergency net frequencies clear for Hurricane Rita emergency operations, especially:
3.873 MHz (eves)
3.935 MHz (eves)
7.285 MHz (days)
7.290 MHz (days)


Amateurs who wish to assist should not travel to the affected area. ARRL HQ has received reports from Section Managers and Section Emergency Coordinators in the area that it is not safe to enter the area independently at this time. Amateurs who wish to assist should register via the Hurricane Rita Disaster Communications Volunteer Registration & Message Traffic Database and await instructions. "
